Meet the team

Escapade Group was founded by Nick de Candole and Richard “Charlie” Farley – longtime friends, godfathers to each other’s children, and, most importantly, two self-proclaimed ‘big kids’ who love to have fun.

When they both became fathers for the first time, they realised there was a major shortage of places that were both fun for kids and enjoyable and well-designed for adults.

… and so the Kidspace adventure started.

Nick and Charlie toured Europe and America for two years to research a variety of different operators – both good and bad – before creating the concept from which Kidspace Adventures was born.

From there, the company has rapidly expanded to include multiple sites across the UK, both indoor and outdoor, and all featuring incredible ways to play. These include Hobbledown farm, zoo and adventure park in Epsom, Watermouth Castle in Devon, and the adrenaline junkie’s dream, Gripped Aerial Adventures. Our aim is for play to be challenging and fun for everyone – and we firmly believe that everyone can and should play, adults included. That’s why we consider ourselves Creators of Extraordinary Experiences.
